Teens continue to be enamoured with vampires, as the latest Twilight film and TV’s The Vampire Diaries scooped a raft of trophies at this weekend’s Teen Choice Awards.
The Twilight Saga, represented by the two films New Moon and Eclipse, was dominant at the Los Angeles ceremony on Sunday.
The series earned a dozen of the annual celebration’s surfboard-shaped trophies, including for choice movie fantasy, choice villain and choice chemistry.
TV’s teen supernatural drama The Vampire Chronicles nabbed seven awards, including for choice TV show, fantasy/sci-fi.
Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber was also a big winner, earning four trophies including choice male artist and pop album.
Other Canadians in the winners circle include The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev (TV breakout star, female and TV actress, fantasy/sci-fi); film actress Rachel McAdams (movie actress, action adventure for Sherlock Holmes) and Rachelle Lefevre (movie villain for New Moon).
Winners are selected through public voting, with more than 85 million votes cast online for the dozens of award categories. Some of the 2010 winners include:

- Activist: Shakira
The ceremony, which was hosted by pop singer Katy Perry and the male stars of TV’s high school hit Glee, will be broadcast Monday night.
