The great news for vampire fanatics is here, the The Twilight MovieSeries: Eclipse casting been finalized. According to Summit Entertainment’s official press release strong Twilight veterans Robert Pattinson who plays the role of the handsome vampire Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart who takes the role of lucky Bella Swan, Eclipse has added a number of new actors to its mix. Summary:
The story opens with the news stating that Seattle, Washington is plagued by series of killings and Edward suspects that a new vampire who is unable to control its thirst for human blood did the crime. As Edward and Bella apply to college, Bella confesses her desire to see her friend, Jacob Black who was a werewolf. Despite Bella’s dangerous condition, she insists that neither Jacob nor his wolf pack would ever harm her, and she begins visiting him occasionally. Meanwhile, Alice Cullen had a vision that Victoria a vampire who was hunting Bella for revenge has returned to Forks. A few days later, Edward proposes to Bella and, despite her hesitations towards marriage she accepted it.
Apparently, Bella and the Cullens realized that the Seattle murders were made by an “army” of newborn vampires controlled by Victoria. The Cullens joined forces with the wolf pack to combat this threat. As the group prepares for battle, Edward, Bella, and Jacob camped in the mountains, hidden during the battle. They were later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young wolf pack member, to wait out the fight.
In the morning, Jacob becomes upset when he heard Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. To stop him, Bella kissed Jacob and realized that she was in love with him as well. During the battle, Victoria was able to track Edward’s scent which brought her to Bella’s forest hiding place. Edward is forced to fight. On the battle, Edward managed to behead Victoria and her vampire army was destroyed. Afterwards, Bella explained to Jacob that despite of her love for him she still chooses to give her heart to Edward. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to escape his heartbreak over Bella’s decision to become a vampire.
About Volturi Vampires:
From what I understand, Volturi vampires are a pretty serious bunch of vampires. They’re beady red eyes would scare someone who isn’t in love with vampires. By the way, in case you were wondering, I’m being facetious. While Volturi have a look that is more consistent with the popular conception of vampires like having pale white with long, draping black clothing, they’re still nowhere near as creepy as an all-time favorite vampire.
On second thought, they’re not even as creepy as Kiefer Sutherland in Lost Boys. At least they’re more menacing than the doughy-eyed Edward. Yeah, yeah, I know. He’s not supposed to be menacing, but he’s still a vampire, isn’t he? He should look a little frightening, right? I digress.
Anyway, the Volturi are described as “a venerable coven of vampires who weigh and impose the laws of the vampire world.” Oh yeah, and they’re Italian. The leader of the Volturi is Aro, who is played by the very talented actor Michael Sheen .
The Volturi appear only at the end of Eclipse, though they are mentioned many times. At first, the Cullens suspect that the Volturi may be creating the army in Seattle. However, they know that even if it isn’t them, they will soon come to sort it out. This causes worry that they will stop in to check to see if Bella is still a human. After finding out about an army of newborns created by Victoria, they sent a portion of their guard to destroy the army: (Jane, Demetri, Felix and two other vampires). But by the time they arrived, they found that the Cullens (with the aid of a werewolf pack) had already eradicated the army. The guard merely killed a young girl named Bree, the only newborn who had surrendered. They promised to come back and check Bella’s mortality soon.
Comment:
As a final say for vampire movie series, the Eclipse: The Twilight saga isn’t like any other typical horrible vampire shows. It is a mixture of love story, mystery and history of werewolf and vampires.
So, if you are more excited than ever then don’t think twice, to head out to theaters for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on June 30,2010.
